Herb and Plant Fair Brings Gardening and Art to Tanner Museum

The Tanner Open-Air Museum will host the 'Kraut-Kräuter-Kreativ' herb and plant fair on May 3, 2026. Running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the event welcomes gardening enthusiasts and hobby growers for a day of trading, swapping, and buying plants. Entry is free, and visitors can also explore the historic museum village at no cost. At the fair, attendees will find perennials, herbs, and young tomato and pepper plants on offer. Cuttings and other gardening supplies will be available for purchase or exchange. The event is part of the annual May Market, held alongside the 'KunstLive' artists' exhibition at the Rhön Museum Village.

Local artists and craftspeople will showcase their work throughout the day. Paintings, ceramics, sculptures, and handmade jewellery will be created and sold on-site. Guests can take home unique artworks or decorative pieces while enjoying the fair's lively atmosphere.

The fair provides a chance for plant lovers to expand their collections and connect with fellow growers. With free admission and a mix of gardening and art, the event aims to draw visitors to the museum village. The day will close at 5 p.m., offering plenty of time to browse, trade, and explore.
