Weinviertel Claims 20 State Wine Titles in Record-Breaking Triumph

Weinviertel has set a new benchmark at this year’s Lower Austria State Wine Awards. The region secured 20 out of 24 top titles, marking its best-ever performance. Its wines now stand at the pinnacle of Lower Austrian winemaking. Weinviertel dominated across multiple categories. It took first place in both the 'Grüner Veltliner Classic' and 'Grüner Veltliner Powerful' divisions. The region also excelled in sparkling, natural, and modern red wines.

Its success extended to future-focused styles. Weinviertel led in PIWI, orange, and natural wine categories. The region’s total podium finishes surpassed those of all other Lower Austrian wine areas combined.
