Five Years In, Nona Source Wants to Become Fashion's Circularity Connector

Nona Source Transforms Luxury Waste into a Circular Revolution at Five

Nona Source has marked its fifth anniversary with a major exhibition in Paris. The platform began as an internal LVMH project to repurpose deadstock fabrics. It has since grown into a broader initiative to redefine waste in the luxury industry. Launched five years ago, Nona Source was initially created to give unused fabrics within LVMH a second life. Over time, it expanded its reach and now collaborates with 25 luxury houses, including brands outside the LVMH group. These partnerships allow more companies to access surplus materials that might otherwise go to waste.

The platform’s digitised system has simplified the process of sourcing and reusing deadstock fabrics. This change has encouraged luxury brands to reconsider how they handle waste. Nona Source now positions itself as an ideas incubator, offering practical solutions to help the industry adopt more circular practices.

To celebrate its anniversary, Nona Source hosted an exhibition at Paris’ Jardin d’Acclimation. The event highlighted the platform’s progress over the past five years and previewed its future direction. On display were projects spanning clothing, furniture, homewares, and packaging, all made from deadstock materials. Collaborations with brands like Stella McCartney, Monoprix, Guerlain, and Bobochic demonstrated the versatility of these materials across different price points and applications. Looking ahead, Nona Source plans to focus on strengthening connections across the supply chain. The platform aims to act as a bridge between brands, factories, and creators to promote circular solutions. Its next phase will prioritise facilitating partnerships and offering innovative answers rather than just selling materials.
