Rosemaund Farm Distillery's New Whisky Captures the Essence of English Spring

Rosemaund Farm Distillery has unveiled its latest whisky, The Orchard Cut, a 10-year-old English single malt aged in ex-bourbon casks. The release marks a new direction for the farm-based distillery, offering a fresher and more spring-like flavour than its previous offerings. Lorna Chase, cofounder and marketing director of Rosemaund Farm Distillery, has deep roots in farming and spirits. She grew up on a North Yorkshire farm and studied at Harper Adams University. In 2008, she joined the founding team at Chase Distillery, helping build it into a leading UK craft-spirits producer before its sale to Diageo in 2021.

In 2024, Chase and her husband Harry, along with brother-in-law James, reacquired the original farm and distillery at Rosemaund. They relaunched it as a standalone whisky venture, committed to regenerative farming. The distillery grows heritage Maris Otter barley and uses its own water source, ensuring a true farm-to-bottle process.

The Orchard Cut represents a shift towards a greener, brighter profile compared to Rosemaund’s inaugural 10-year-old whisky, which used bourbon and sherry casks. Designed as a 'true taste of English spring,' the new release is orchard-led, vibrant, and subtly energising. Film director Guy Ritchie has invested in the project and designed the Wild Kitchen feasting tables, blending the whisky into his creative world. The Orchard Cut aims to reflect the farm’s terroir and appeal to a new generation of drinkers. Rosemaund Farm Distillery continues to establish itself as a producer of distinctively English single malt whisky. The latest release reinforces its commitment to sustainability and craftsmanship.
