Baker Raymond Tan reveals his chocolate-dipped fortune cookie secrets live

Baker Raymond Tan will showcase his chocolate-dipped fortune cookies on The Morning Show. The self-taught baker and author of You're Welcome! plans to demonstrate the recipe live for viewers at home. Tan’s fortune cookies are a beloved treat at his bakeries, especially during Lunar New Year. He combines classic baking methods with Southeast Asian flavours, such as cinnamon and cardamom.

The recipe requires 115g caster sugar, 80g egg whites, 90g plain flour, 3g ground cinnamon, 2g ground cardamom, 2g fine salt, 2.5g vanilla extract, and 20g unsalted butter. The cookies bake at 180°C for 10–12 minutes. After cooling, they are dipped in melted white chocolate and decorated with food colouring.

During the show, Tan will personalise the cookies for hosts Larry and Kylie. He will also guide viewers through each step, from mixing the batter to shaping and decorating the cookies at home. The finished fortune cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days. Tan’s appearance will highlight his signature blend of tradition and creativity. Viewers can try the recipe themselves after the segment airs.
