Berlin's New Map Reveals Shocking Döner Kebab Price Gaps Across the City

A new map called Berlin Kebab Prices now shows the cost of a döner across the city. It reveals big differences, from €3.50 in Neukölln to over €9 in some areas. The tool helps locals find the cheapest options in their neighbourhood. The map includes a slider that lets users filter shops by price. At the lower end, Bayram Grill on Oranienstraße sells a chicken-vegetable döner for €4.99. Kenan G. is a regular there because of its affordability.

At the other extreme, a standard döner at Mehringplatz in Kreuzberg costs €7. Despite rising costs, the German Döner Producers Association does not foresee a drop in prices. Inflation has pushed up labour, rent, and ingredient expenses for vendors. The map makes it easier to compare kebab prices in Berlin. Shops in different districts charge very different amounts. Higher costs for businesses mean prices are unlikely to fall soon.
