The 2026 Pastry Special Awards took place in Paris, celebrating top bakers, pastry chefs, and artisans worldwide. Presented by La Liste, the event honours 36 winners from 18 countries across 12 categories. A new category, 'World’s Best Pastry & Bakery Shops', was introduced this year. It highlights the growing influence of modern gastronomy. Pierre Hermé Paris in Sentosa, Singapore, claimed the top prize as the World’s Best Pastry Shop.
Other winners included Will Goldfarb of Room 4 Dessert in Bali, who received the Pastry Game Changer Award. Yun Eunyoung of Garuharu in Seoul took home the title of World’s Most Creative Pastry Chef. Frédéric Bau, Creative Director of Valrhona, was awarded the Pastry Impact Award.
Eleven establishments earned the Pastry Discovery Gem Award 2026. Among them were From Lucie in New York, Burnt Ends Bakery in Singapore, and Panadería Rosetta in Mexico City. A Global Pastry and Bakery Trends Report was also released, examining the cultural, economic, and creative shifts shaping the industry. The awards showcase the diversity and innovation in global pastry and bakery craftsmanship. The event and its accompanying report underline the sector’s rapid evolution and expanding influence.
