Ferrero recalls Nutella Muffins in Germany over metal contamination fears

Ferrero has recalled a batch of Nutella Muffin in Germany over fears of metal contamination. The affected products were sold between 16 and 25 June 2026. Consumers have been warned not to eat them if purchased during this time. The recalled muffins were sold individually or loose in bakery sections. They appeared in major supermarkets across Lower Saxony and nearby areas. The risk comes from potential metal fragments inside the food.

Ingesting these fragments could lead to injury or choking. If a foreign object becomes lodged in the airway or esophagus, the German Red Cross advises following first aid steps. Emergency services should be contacted without delay. Ferrero Germany GmbH has asked customers to take the recall seriously. Anyone who bought the product during the specified dates should avoid eating it. Medical help should be sought immediately if any harm occurs.
