Foodstories secures Rs 50 crore to fuel curated food retail expansion
Foodstories, a curated food retail startup, has raised Rs 50 crore in a new funding round. The company was founded by Ashni and Avni Biyani, who also co-founded the brand platform Think9. The fresh capital will support its growth plans across digital and physical channels. The funding round was led by Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath. The Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office also participated. Foodstories currently runs stores in Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, with a new outlet planned for Lokhandwala.
The startup blends retail, hospitality, and digital commerce, offering food products sourced directly from farmers, producers, and chefs. Its business model combines physical stores with online sales. The founders aim to scale Foodstories into a Rs 1,000 crore enterprise.
Ashni and Avni Biyani also lead Think9, which has a portfolio including SuperYou, Goodbug, Anaar, and BiE. The new funds will expand Foodstories’ digital operations, delivery network, and retail footprint. The Rs 50 crore investment will help Foodstories grow its reach and product offerings. The company plans to strengthen its delivery services and open more stores. This move supports its goal of becoming a major player in India’s curated food market.
