Krasnodar residents find joy in small treats despite daily stressors
A recent survey in Krasnodar has revealed how residents balance small indulgences with their emotional well-being. Many prioritise treats like coffee or favourite foods to lift their mood, yet most keep spending modest. The study also highlights key stressors affecting daily life in the city. Fatigue, financial strain, and weather are the biggest factors impacting emotional health for 52%, 49%, and 44% of Krasnodar residents respectively. Despite these pressures, 65% believe emotional moments are vital for inner comfort. Many turn to small pleasures to cope, with 43% saying these indulgences improve their mood.
Coffee or specialty drinks top the list of preferred treats at 55%, followed by favourite foods at 47%. After a difficult day, 29% reward themselves with tasty meals, while 20% opt for sleep or relaxation. Shopping comes next, chosen by 14%.
Spending habits vary, but most residents stay cautious. Only 6% are willing to spend over 30,000 rubles monthly on small joys, while 42% limit themselves to 5,000 rubles or less. Another 33% allocate between 5,000 and 10,000 rubles. Frequency also differs: 32% make small, pleasant purchases several times a week. When treating themselves, 35% do so mindfully, and 29% act spontaneously but still watch their budgets.
Guilt rarely follows these indulgences. Just 31% feel guilty after treating themselves, and 32% occasionally wonder if the money could have been spent better. The survey shows that Krasnodar residents value small joys as a way to manage stress and maintain well-being. Most prefer affordable treats and keep spending under control. Emotional comfort remains a priority, even as financial and daily pressures persist.
