How AI slashed logistics workloads and boosted revenue at Tech Week 2026

Tech Week 2026 gathered over 2,500 business representatives in a two-day event held on June 17–18. Among the highlights was a case study presented by Oleg Kemaev, a business process automation expert at First Bit, during the Manufacturing and Logistics session. Kemaev shared how First Bit proposed training AI to find equipment dimensions independently instead of maintaining a unified database. VideoGlaz-Center, a security systems supplier, had faced a logistics bottleneck, with manual calculations taking up to 40 hours per week. Language models were then used for complex load capacity calculations, achieving 94% accuracy.

An auto parts supplier also benefited from AI integration. An RPA-based software robot with AI reduced request processing time by a factor of five. This allowed the company to win a major tender and generate an additional 15 million rubles in revenue due to faster document preparation. Two AI agents based on Yandex GPT were deployed, cutting requests to logistics staff from 30-40 per day to just 1-2.

The project proved cost-effective, paying for itself in six months. Monthly token costs ranged between 7,000-8,000 rubles ($80-90). The ROI of such AI projects can reach hundreds of percent, with additional intangible benefits like improved customer response times and fewer conflicts between departments. The case studies demonstrated clear financial and operational gains. Companies saw faster processing, reduced workloads, and increased revenue. The results highlighted the practical value of AI in streamlining business operations.
