Chulalongkorn University and Nestlé Strengthen Food Innovation Partnership
Chulalongkorn University and Nestlé (Thailand) Ltd. have signed a new agreement to boost academic collaboration in food and beverages. The partnership was formalised on May 26, 2026, through a Memorandum of Understanding. Both institutions have a history of working together, particularly in supporting food technology professionals. The three-year agreement focuses on knowledge exchange and practical learning. It includes opportunities for students to understand real industrial operations and access short courses for lifelong learning. The deal also aims to strengthen research and development skills within a real industrial setting for Chulalongkorn personnel.
Under the partnership, Nestlé will provide internship opportunities at its Product Technology Centre in Singapore for two students from Chulalongkorn University’s Department of Food Technology in 2026. The collaboration seeks to advance knowledge, technology, and food innovations that benefit the long-term well-being of the Thai people.
The MOU was signed by Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, representing Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Victor Seah, representing Nestlé Indochina. The agreement reinforces the long-standing cooperation between the university and Nestlé. It will provide students with hands-on experience and support the development of food innovations. The partnership is set to run for three years, with clear objectives for knowledge sharing and skill development.
