Lineage Unveils Massive Cold Chain Hub in Texas with Cutting-Edge Automation

Lineage is building a cutting-edge temperature-controlled distribution centre in Hutchins, Texas. The facility will serve a major U.S. food manufacturer and boost the company’s cold chain operations across North America. Once completed, it will rank among the largest and most advanced of its kind globally. The Texas project aims to expand Lineage’s refrigerated storage and distribution capabilities. The company already manages over 500 temperature-controlled sites worldwide. This new centre will further strengthen its network in North America.

TGW Logistics is providing automation technology for the facility. Their systems will handle storage, transport, and pallet movement in extreme cold. The equipment is designed to function reliably in temperatures as low as -30°C.

The automated solution is built for high-speed operations and precise order processing. Lineage expects the facility to go live by the end of 2027. The Hutchins centre will support a key food producer while enhancing Lineage’s cold chain infrastructure. TGW’s automation will ensure efficient handling of goods in freezing conditions. The project marks another step in expanding Lineage’s global refrigerated logistics network.
