Minsk's beloved LEN bakery to close after nearly a decade of sourdough and coffee

Minsk’s well-known LEN bakery is closing its doors for good. The café and bakery, famous for its sourdough bread, pastries, and coffee, will end operations on June 21. The decision comes after nearly nine years of serving the city. LEN first opened on Skryhanova Street and later moved to 25/1 Rakovskaya Street. Over the years, it became a local favourite, supplying its baked goods to other cafés and shops across Minsk. The bakery also made headlines two years ago by banning laptops in its café.

The closure follows the end of LEN’s lease at its current location. As part of the shutdown, the entire project, including the café, will stop operating. The bakery is now selling off its equipment before the final day. LEN’s last day will be June 21. The future of the project in other locations remains unclear. For now, the closure marks the end of a nearly decade-long chapter for the bakery in Minsk.
