Dubai Press Club Launches Cultural Content Creators Programme to Champion the City's Creative Identity

Dubai launches groundbreaking programme to train digital storytellers of tomorrow

A new programme aimed at training the next generation of digital storytellers launched in Dubai on 19 June. The initiative focuses on equipping participants with advanced skills in creative production and modern storytelling techniques. Officials described it as a key step in strengthening the city’s creative economy. The programme was introduced by the Dubai Press Club in partnership with Dubai Culture. Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, welcomed the participants at the opening. She emphasised how the training would empower creators to share Dubai’s cultural narrative in an authentic way.

Participants will develop expertise in visual storytelling, audience engagement, and content production. Workshops and interactive sessions led by media and digital experts will cover modern tools, including artificial intelligence. Previous phases of the programme had focused on economic, health, and science-related content, working closely with government bodies and strategic partners.

Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, called the launch a milestone in the Club’s mission to build creator capabilities. Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, added that the initiative represents an investment in future storytellers. The collaboration between the two organisations highlights their joint commitment to advancing cultural storytelling and expanding opportunities in Dubai’s creative sector. The programme will run with a mix of expert-led workshops and hands-on training. Participants will gain practical experience in digital production while contributing to Dubai’s growing creative landscape. Organisers expect the initiative to play a long-term role in shaping the city’s cultural and media industries.
