Habarovsk's Farm Fair Thrives with Record Sales of Fresh Local Produce

Over 40 farmers gathered in Habarovsk last weekend for the region’s agricultural fair. The event, offering free stalls funded by the local budget, has drawn city residents eager for fresh, high-quality produce. The fair opened on 2 May with 1.7 tons of produce sold on the first day. By the end of the 18th market day, total sales exceeded 22.5 tons. Shoppers bought large quantities of local goods, including 150 kilograms of cucumbers and 25 kilograms of zucchini on Saturday alone.

A mobile veterinary laboratory was on site to inspect all products sold. Local strawberries proved especially popular among visitors. Revenue from the fair has now topped 7 million rubles.

Farmers from Habarovsk, Vyazemsky, and Lazo districts supplied the fresh produce. Many have started harvesting their first crops of the season for the event. The fair has provided a platform for local farmers to sell their goods directly to consumers. With strong sales and positive feedback, it has become a key event for the region’s agricultural community. The total revenue and volume of produce sold reflect its growing success.
