FDA recalls 900+ cases of Alfredo sauce over salmonella risk

The FDA has recalled more than 900 cases of Alfredo sauce over fears of salmonella contamination. The Coffee Connexion Co., Inc. started the recall on 6 May 2026 after discovering a potential issue with a dry milk powder ingredient. The agency classified it as a Class I event, signalling a serious health risk. The affected product comes in 3-pound, 7-ounce sealed poly bags, with 12 bags per case. Each recalled item bears UPC 0039954921963 and falls within specific batch and best-by date ranges. The sauce had already been distributed across multiple US states before the recall began.

The FDA assigned the case recall number H-0909-2026. On 4 June 2026, it officially labelled the recall as Class I due to the high risk posed by salmonella. So far, the enforcement report has not recorded any illnesses linked to the product. Salmonella infections can be severe, particularly for young children, elderly individuals, and those with weakened immune systems. The recall removes the affected sauce from circulation to prevent potential harm. Consumers are advised to check their purchases against the recalled batch details.
