How a Kazakh family farm turned tradition into a thriving dairy business
Saltaanat Nurgazinova runs a successful family farm in Almaly village, Jetisu Region. What began as a small rural home with a few animals has grown into an officially registered peasant farm. Her dedication to quality has earned praise from customers who enjoy her fresh dairy products. Nurgazinova now manages 15 cows and a smaller herd of goats. Together, they produce around 200 litres of milk each day. The farm processes this milk on-site, turning it into traditional dairy and fermented goods like kurt, ayran, sour cream, butter, cottage cheese, and irimshik.
The farm uses modern equipment, including a separator, refrigeration units, and a clean drying space for kurt and irimshik. Products are packed in branded containers with labels designed by her family. She sells everything in her small family-run grocery store, ensuring a short and transparent supply chain.
Customers often highlight the quality and hygiene of her goods. One praised the delicious goat’s milk and kurt. Nurgazinova also aims to teach her children the value of hard work to keep the farm prosperous. Saltaanat Farmstead is known for its fresh products and tasty ayran. The farm’s growth reflects Nurgazinova’s commitment to quality and tradition. Her goal remains to provide only the freshest dairy goods to her community.
