Zhetisu region opens eight new medical facilities to boost rural healthcare

Eight new medical facilities have opened in the Zhetisu region, expanding healthcare access for rural communities. The projects form part of a wider effort to strengthen primary care under the President's directive.

The newly built facilities include rural health posts, medical stations, and a physician's clinic. They now serve over 4,000 residents in remote settlements who previously had limited access to news. Funding for the 1.7 billion tenge initiative came from the government's Special State Fund.

The region has repurposed repatriated assets to construct these centres. Their completion follows 10 earlier projects in the Schtschutschinsk area, bringing the total number of new healthcare sites to 18. Alongside improved services, the developments have also created jobs and reinforced local infrastructure.

With all 18 planned facilities now operational, the Zhetisu region has significantly expanded its healthcare network. The investment ensures that more villagers receive essential medical support without travelling long distances.
