Yuengling Beer Elevates These Bold Chili and Sauce Recipes

A hearty Black & Tan Chili and a tangy Lager Buffalo Sauce are among the latest recipes gaining attention. Both dishes use Yuengling beers as a key ingredient, adding depth to their flavours. The recipes also include a rich Beer Cheese sauce, perfect for pairing with the chili or other snacks.

The Black & Tan Chili begins with browning 2 lbs of ground beef in a large pot with canola oil. Once cooked, diced yellow onion, red bell pepper, and minced garlic are added, followed by a mix of spices. Flour is stirred in and cooked for a few minutes before pouring in a 12 oz bottle of Yuengling Black & Tan and beef broth.

Tomato sauce, chili sauce, enchilada sauce, Rotel Tomatoes with Chilis, and black beans are then mixed into the pot. The chili simmers on the stove for 20-30 minutes, or it can be transferred to a crock pot for slower cooking.

For the Lager Buffalo Sauce, hot sauce, butter, Calabrian chili pepper, cider vinegar, garlic powder, kosher salt, and Yuengling Traditional Lager are combined. The sauce is heated until the butter melts, then pureed until smooth.

The Beer Cheese starts with melted butter and flour, creating a roux. Yuengling Lord Chesterfield Ale, milk, Worcestershire sauce, jalapeño, mustard, and seasonings are whisked in, followed by cheese until fully melted.

The Lager Brine, used for chicken, mixes 8 cups of water, 3/4 cup kosher salt, 1/4 cup sugar, 6 cups ice water, and 16 oz Yuengling Traditional Lager. The chicken soaks in this brine for at least 4 hours, but no longer than 24, before cooking.

These recipes highlight the versatility of beer in cooking, from slow-cooked chili to zesty sauces. The Black & Tan Chili can be adjusted for stovetop or crock pot preparation, while the Lager Buffalo Sauce and Beer Cheese add bold flavours to any meal. Each dish relies on simple steps but delivers rich, layered tastes.
