Wild Turkey Unveils Rare 13-Year Bourbon Honoring Eddie Russell's Legacy
Wild Turkey is launching a new batch of Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Old Bourbon to mark a special milestone. The release celebrates master distiller Eddie Russell’s 45th anniversary at the company. This limited-edition whiskey will hit shelves later this month at the distillery and select shops. Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Old Bourbon first appeared in 2021 as an allocated release. The latest version is bottled at 121.2 proof and includes whiskey aged up to 18 years. Tasting notes highlight flavours of vanilla, cherry, citrus, nutmeg, allspice, and cola.
The bourbon carries an asking price of $200, though earlier batches sold for nearly $1000 on the secondary market. Alongside the release, Wild Turkey will premiere a documentary about Eddie Russell. Titled *His Own Way: The Story of Eddie Russell*, it explores his four decades of crafting whiskey.
The new Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Old will be available from this month. It honours Eddie Russell’s long career and offers a high-proof, aged bourbon for collectors. Fans can also watch the documentary to learn more about his influence on Wild Turkey.
