Wiesbaden's Youth Gallery Launches 20th Anniversary Art Contest for Young Creators
The Children and Youth Gallery in Wiesbaden is marking its 20th anniversary with a special art competition for young creators. Open to children and teens aged 5 to 18, the event invites submissions of pictures from those living or studying in the city. The winning pieces will be showcased during the anniversary celebrations in May 2026.
The competition, titled Young Art from Wiesbaden, will run on May 9 and 10, 2026. Organisers are encouraging a wide range of artistic styles, from traditional paintings to sculptures and graffiti. Each entry must include the artist's name, age, and contact details.
Submissions will be accepted until March 6, 2026. A jury made up of young people will then review the pictures, selecting the most compelling pieces for display. The chosen artworks will not only feature in the gallery but also appear in a commemorative book.
The event aims to uncover fresh talent and unexpected creativity among Wiesbaden's youth. By giving young artists a platform, the gallery hopes to celebrate two decades of fostering artistic expression in the community.
The anniversary competition offers young artists a chance to see their pictures exhibited in a professional setting. Selected pieces will be displayed during the May 2026 celebrations, while all winning entries will be published in a special book. The deadline for submissions remains March 6, 2026.
