Vans Unveils Going Further Collection with Gore-Tex Sneakers and Snow Gear
Vans has launched its new Going Further collection, designed for outdoor performance in harsh conditions. The range includes weatherproof sneakers, snowboard boots, and matching outerwear. Prices start at €185 for key items like the Sk8-Hi Gore-Tex and Crosspath XC Gore-Tex.
The collection's standout sneakers are the Crosspath XC Gore-Tex and the Sk8-Hi Gore-Tex. The Crosspath model uses an invisible Gore-Tex Fit membrane to block water while keeping feet dry. Its Vibram outsole provides strong grip on wet or uneven ground, and a quick-lace system ensures a secure fit. The shoe also features the brand's iconic Jazz Stripe.
The Sk8-Hi Gore-Tex, a high-top version, adds Duratherm insulation for warmth and an All-Trac outsole for traction. Both sneakers are priced under €200, with the Crosspath XC at €195 and the Sk8-Hi at €185.
For snowboarding, the line includes boots like the Infuse and Luna Pro, though no records show professionals using these models in competitions. However, pro rider Jill Perkins has been linked to the collection. Completing the set are the High Country Snow Jacket and Pants, offering full weather protection.
The Going Further collection is now on sale, targeting outdoor enthusiasts with durable, high-performance gear. The sneakers and outerwear focus on weather resistance, while the snowboard boots aim at riders seeking pro-level equipment. No confirmed reports yet tie the boots to competitive snowboarding use.
