A new app called Swipe in is changing how people pick restaurants. Developed by Dominik Ager and Nico Stark, it helps users find places that suit their dietary needs. The tool launched in November and now attracts between 10,000 and 20,000 daily visitors. The app pulls restaurant listings and photos from Google's database. It then filters options based on user preferences, including dietary restrictions. Emojis replace lengthy descriptions, making recommendations easier to understand across languages.
Users can build wish lists to share with friends, simplifying group decisions. Currently, *Swipe in* features 2,465 Vienna restaurants, with plans to expand across Austria. The service also covers parts of the DACH region and Italy. Since its release, the app has grown steadily. It generates income through in-app features while aiming to cover more locations in the coming months.
Vienna alone has over 8,000 restaurants, but Swipe in narrows choices to match individual tastes. The app's focus on dietary needs and group sharing sets it apart. Developers continue to refine its reach and functionality for wider use.
