34th Baltic Sea Fair Opens - Visitor Influx on Day One - Rostock's Baltic Sea Fair opens with spring magic and lively crowds

The 34th Baltic Sea Fair opened its doors in Rostock on Wednesday, drawing large crowds to the HanseMesse exhibition grounds. The five-day event, known for its mix of shopping, food, and entertainment, is set to attract around 40,000 visitors this year.

The fair kicked off with free admission on its first day, a long-standing tradition. Over 210 exhibitors from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, other parts of Germany, and abroad are showcasing their products and services. A highlight of the event is the flower show, themed Magic of Spring, which spans roughly 1,000 square metres and features more than 10,000 flowering plants and perennials.

Visitors can also enjoy live music, sea shanties, and dance performances on the main stage. A demonstration kitchen offers daily cooking shows, adding to the fair's lively atmosphere.

Oliver Fudickar, managing director of organiser inRostock GmbH, called the Baltic Sea Fair an important gathering for exhibitors, partners, and guests. The event has been a regional favourite for decades, blending commerce, culture, and community.

The fair runs for five days, offering a mix of shopping, entertainment, and floral displays. Organisers anticipate strong attendance, continuing its reputation as one of the region's most popular annual events.
