Potbelly's newest sandwich shop opens in Flowood this December
FLOWOOD, Miss. (our website) - A new sandwich shop will open its doors in Flowood, marking the second location in Mississippi.
Potbelly is a self-described "iconic neighborhood sandwich shop." Founded in Chicago, Potbelly serves signature toasty sandwiches, fresh salads, oven-baked cookies and hand-dipped shakes. The new location promises a warm, welcoming environment offering a go-to spot for local residents, nearby workers and visitors.
The Flowood location will be operated by local franchisee Mark Reedy, along with his co-owners, Kyle Sephton & Michael Wimberly. The owners said they decided on the Lakeland Commons Shopping Center (4800 Lakeland Dr.) to open the restaurant in due to the city's recent growth.
"From the moment we visited Lakeland Commons, we saw the perfect alignment between the brand's community-first spirit and Flowood's dynamic growth," said Reedy. "This shop is designed to be a true gathering place for families, students and working families. We look forward to partnering with the local community and developing a relationship with residents who can all take pride in the brand calling the Jackson area home."
Regular operating hours for this shop will be from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. daily. Delivery, order ahead and catering are available in-shop, through Potbelly's website or the Potbelly App. Additionally, Potbelly in Flowood will be offering delivery through third-party services.
The restaurant will open its doors starting December 2, 2025, with a ceremonial ribbon cutting on December 12, 2025.
The first Potbelly location in Mississippi is in Olive Branch.
