Palia's Jam-boree event challenges players to craft 25 million preserves together
The cozy MMO Palia is launching a week-long community event called Jam-boree from October 21 to 28. Players will work together to create at least 25 million jars of preserves, with rewards unlocked at key milestones. Even seasoned gamers have found themselves drawn in, with one player logging over 100 hours in the game so far. Palia stands out from traditional MMOs by focusing on relaxing activities like gardening, fishing, and home-building rather than combat or raids. At its peak in early August 2023, the game attracted around 22,000 concurrent players on Steam, driven by strong reviews and word of mouth.
The Jam-boree event kicks off at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (6:00 PM CET) on October 21. Any preserved item—whether jams, kimchi, canned vegetables, or pickles—counts toward the collective goal. Players don't need to produce millions alone; every jar contributed adds to the total. Bonuses will unlock at 5 million, 15 million, and 25 million jars. The final reward lets the community vote on the design of a new in-game plushie.
The event runs until October 28, giving players a week to contribute. With no individual pressure, the focus remains on teamwork and shared progress. If successful, the community will shape a new in-game item while enjoying Palia's signature laid-back gameplay.
