OpenTable has revealed its first-ever Restaurant Awards, celebrating top dining spots across London. The winners were announced at a ceremony hosted by chef and social media personality Poppy O’Toole on 27th April. The event took place at Landing Forty Two, highlighting standout venues in three key categories.
The awards covered three distinct sections: OpenTable Icons, Restaurateurs' Choice, and People's Choice. The Icons list showcased 26 influential restaurants shaping London’s food scene, with BRUTTO taking the top spot in this category.
Singburi claimed the Opening of the Year title, while The Plimsoll was named Gastropub of the Year. The People’s Choice winners included The Ledbury, The Plimsoll, Singburi, St. JOHN Smithfield, and Rita’s. Meanwhile, the Restaurateurs' Choice category honoured David Moore, Dara Klein, Three Sheets, Bubala, and Berners Tavern. The OpenTable Icons list is now featured on the OpenTable website and app, making it easier for diners to discover and book these acclaimed restaurants.
The awards recognise a mix of established names and rising stars in London’s dining landscape. Winners now appear on OpenTable’s platform, offering diners a curated selection of top-rated venues. The ceremony marked the first time OpenTable has formally celebrated the city’s culinary achievements.
