Oahu's food scene heats up with three bold new dining spots
Three news dining spots have launched in Oahu, each bringing fresh flavours to the island. From handmade noodles to interactive fine dining, the latest openings cater to a range of tastes. Several venues are also rolling out limited-time specials before spring arrives.
The Broth Bar has set up shop in Kahala, focusing on rich, homemade broths and fresh noodles. Their signature deluxe ramen comes topped with char siu, green onion, kikurage, nori, and a marinated ajitama egg. For those preferring a lighter option, the wonton ramen features shrimp and pork dumplings, char siu, and green onion. Vegan diners can try the spicy vegan ramen, loaded with deep-fried tofu, menma, and okra. The menu also includes rice bowls with choices like karaage, char siu egg, spicy ahi, or chicken katsu curry.
Over in Discovery Bay Center, Waikiki Snack Store has opened its doors, specialising in noodle dishes and handcrafted dumplings. Until the end of February, customers can grab a discount on take-home dumplings. Meanwhile, Oakberry is promoting its February special, the Poi Bowl, blending acai, poi, granola, coconut flakes, mango, and banana. This limited-time offer runs through the month.
Starting March 9, Le Petit Chef will begin a residency at Romer House Waikiki. The experience features a five-course menu with standout dishes like miso-ginger lobster with scallion and sesame, alongside New York striploin paired with mushroom purée. The event promises a mix of culinary art and storytelling.
The new openings add variety to Oahu's food scene, with options spanning quick bites, plant-based meals, and upscale dining. Limited-time promotions at Oakberry and Waikiki Snack Store give locals and visitors a chance to sample special dishes before they disappear. No similar Asian-inspired or interactive dining concepts have launched in Honolulu since early 2024.
