ALEJANDRO'S MEXICAN FOOD
Alejandro Alvarado opened Alejandro's Mexican Food to offer diners the dishes his parents and grandparents made for him while he was growing up. If you're hosting a party, order from the catering menu. You choose 25 or 75 tacos, or pre-built burritos that include options like carnitas, beef, chicken, asada or veggie. Don't forget the sides - Spanish rice, pinto beans, or chips and salsa.

SERG'S MEXICAN KITCHEN
Most people will recognize Serg's Mexican Kitchen from its bright red walk-up window in Manoa, but it recently opened a second location at Midtown Eats. Beyond its tacos and burritos, the biz offers its famous flauta - a 12-inch flour tortilla that's rolled, fried and stuffed with your choice of protein before being topped with avocado salsa, sour cream, queso fresco, cilantro and onions. You'll also find torta, a traditional Mexican sandwich served with your choice of meat and melted cheese. Don't skip over desserts like tostada de platano, churros or deep-fried Oreos.
