New Exhibition Women in Craftsmanship Opens at European Bread Museum in 2025
**The exhibition "Women in Craftsmanship - Here!" initiated by the coordination office "Women & Economy" in Goettingen and designed by the start-up "HandWert" will be on display at the European Bread Museum in Ebergoetzen starting Saturday, March 1, 2025. The exhibition showcases the diverse image of women in crafts in our region. The exhibition opens at 11:00 AM and runs until November 30, 2025.**
With its 130 different professions, the crafts sector offers a wide range of opportunities for skilled workers and young people choosing a career. However, many areas are still male-dominated. The reality is much more diverse. In the city and district of Goettingen, there are numerous women who passionately and successfully practice various crafts, run businesses, and train apprentices.
Exhibition opening with welcoming speeches and guided tour
Hubert Kellner, chairman of the European Bread Museum e.V., will open the exhibition. Afterwards, the project will be presented by Dr. Natalia Hefele, director of the coordination office "Women & Economy" and Dr. Dorothee Hemme, project manager. This will be followed by a joint tour of the exhibition. Interested parties are welcome, admission is free.
This exhibition was created through a cooperation between the coordination office "Women & Economy" in Goettingen and the company "HandWert". It was supported by the Lower Saxony Network of Entrepreneurial Women in Crafts e.V., the equal opportunities officers of the city of Goettingen and the districts of Goettingen and Northeim, as well as the coordination office "Women & Economy" and the company network "Family & Economy" in Northeim.
The European Bread Museum is located at Goettinger Str. 7 in Ebergoetzen.
