A Lively Street Food Festival Comes to Lank-Latum on April 28
On April 28, a bustling lineup of food trucks will transform the heart of Lank-Latum into a cozy backdrop for a relaxed five-hour culinary event, drawing a cheerful—and above all, hungry—crowd. As in previous years, the food on offer will be as diverse as it is international.
"It's all about coming together, meeting up with friends, enjoying cold drinks and tasty snacks—that's the simple idea behind our concept," says organizer Marc Pesch, whose event agency has once again partnered with the city. The hoped-for side effect of these after-work markets? Revitalizing local centers, making them more inviting to linger in, and attracting visitors from beyond the area. Weekends, meanwhile, remain open for other events.
This year's series will feature six after-work market dates in total. The next stop for "Meerbusch Tastes!" is May 19 in Strümp, where the action will unfold on the square by St. Francis Church. The tour continues on Tuesday, June 16, at Deutsches Eck in Büderich. On July 16—the only Thursday in the lineup—"Meerbusch Tastes!" will head to Osterath's Hochstraße and the church square. The market returns to St. Francis Church in Strümp on August 18, before wrapping up the season on Tuesday, September 8, back in Lank-Latum. All events run from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
