Minsk welcomes locally grown strawberries at competitive prices this season

Locally grown strawberries have arrived in Minsk supermarkets, replacing imports from Greece and Egypt. Shoppers can now buy fresh Belarusian berries at several price points across the city. A 250-gram pack of Belarusian strawberries currently sells for 13.48 rubles in some stores. This works out to 53.92 rubles per kilogram. Another supplier offers the same quantity for 10.78 rubles, bringing the price down to 43.12 rubles per kilogram.

Prices are likely to drop further as the season continues. Until recently, most strawberries in Minsk came from overseas suppliers.

The arrival of local strawberries gives shoppers more options at lower prices. With further price reductions expected, the berries will become even more affordable in the coming weeks. Supermarkets have already begun stocking them in bulk.
