Li-Lac Chocolates Opens a Sweet New Shop Inside Brooklyn's Sahadi's
New York City's oldest chocolatier, Li-Lac Chocolates, has opened a new permanent shop inside Sahadi's flagship store in Brooklyn Heights. The move marks the brand's seventh location across the city, blending its century-old craft with a beloved Brooklyn institution.
Founded in 1923, Li-Lac Chocolates still uses its original recipes and small-batch techniques to create handmade sweets. The new setup sits near Sahadi's checkout, making it easy for shoppers to grab a last-minute treat or gift.
The shop features three display cases filled with pralines, truffles, and other fresh chocolates. Shelves also hold signature gift boxes and seasonal specialities, with over 120 varieties available. Customers can choose from classic truffles, assorted gift sets, and limited-edition flavours. This partnership unites two long-standing New York names. Sahadi's, established in 1895, is famous for its old-world charm and global pantry staples. Meanwhile, Li-Lac's six other city locations continue to serve locals and visitors alike. For those outside New York, the chocolatier also offers nationwide shipping.
The new Brooklyn Heights shop expands Li-Lac's reach while keeping its tradition alive. With seven locations and a growing online presence, the chocolatier ensures its handcrafted treats remain accessible to sweet-toothed customers across the country.
