Lafayette's 2026 Restaurant Stroll Sells Out with Tastings and Live Jazz

The 2026 Taste of Lafayette Restaurant Stroll will take place on Tuesday, May 19 in downtown Lafayette. Over 20 local restaurants will offer tastings, while live music fills Lafayette Plaza from 5 to 7 p.m. The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m., with ticket holders able to start at any participating restaurant. For two hours, guests can wander downtown, sampling dishes until 7:30 p.m. Early bird tickets sold for £80, rising to £85 after April 1, before the tasting portion sold out.

Live music at Lafayette Plaza will feature performances by Generations in Jazz and New You Dance Center. Non-ticket holders can still enjoy the free entertainment, bringing their own food and non-alcoholic drinks. Those with tickets must carry a Passport to collect tastings, while ID will be required at the Plaza Bar and any venue serving alcohol. The event supports the Lafayette Chamber and the Community Foundation of Lafayette. Both organisations have worked in the area for more than 20 years. Downtown Lafayette is easily accessible, with the BART station within walking distance, though parking meters will remain in effect.

The sold-out tasting portion runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., while free music at Lafayette Plaza continues until 7 p.m. Proceeds from the event will go toward local community initiatives through the Lafayette Chamber and Community Foundation.
