Krasnodar's 2B-ruble food hub transforms local farming into ready meals

A major food production project has launched in the Krasnodar Region after agreements made at the 2023 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The high-tech facility, costing over 2 billion rubles, now processes local raw materials into ready-to-eat meals for major retailers and delivery services across southern Russia. The project took shape following discussions at the 2023 St. Petersburg forum, where key investment plans were outlined. Regional support included 100 million rubles in preferential financing from the Krasnodar Industrial Development Fund.

The facility operates as a full-cycle enterprise, handling everything from sourcing ingredients to packaging and distribution. It works closely with local agricultural producers, ensuring added value stays within the region. Over 300 product lines are now manufactured, with an on-site laboratory maintaining strict quality control. In April alone, the plant produced 1.5 million meal packages, with a daily output capacity of up to 100 tons. The company employs around 700 people and supplies products to federal retail chains, hotels, and online delivery platforms across the Southern Federal District.

The new enterprise strengthens Krasnodar’s food industry by creating jobs and supporting local farmers. Its products are now widely available through major grocery chains, hospitality businesses, and delivery networks. The project marks a significant expansion of the region’s ready-to-eat food production capacity.
