New Openings in Koblenz

Koblenz's vibrant new dining, wellness and nightlife scene arrives in 2026

Over the coming weeks and months, Koblenz will see a wave of new openings, from culinary hotspots like an apéritif bar and South Tyrolean cuisine to a fresh pasta workshop and a new yoga studio. Here's an overview of the city's latest additions.

New Dining Spots in Koblenz

On April 30, 2026, Bar "roxy" will open its doors in the southern suburbs at the corner of Kurfürststraße and Markenbildchenweg, taking over the former "Pipers Corner" space. The venue will blend the concept of an apéritif bar—a Swiss and French tradition of drinks and small bites to kick off the evening—with that of a listening bar, where "music takes center stage, not just as background noise but as a deliberate listening experience," as the owners explain. Inspired by Japan's jazz kissa (listening cafés), roxy will shift its atmosphere throughout the day: "By day, it's relaxed, social, and inspiring; by night, the mood intensifies." Design-wise, the space marries "warm, retro-inspired elegance with modern lightness." The location was chosen to embrace the "small but vibrant neighborhood feel" and create a local gathering spot.

A taste of South Tyrol arrives in Koblenz with the opening of Restaurant "Lagrein" at Rheinzollstraße 16, where Enoteca Gigi once stood. Founders Eike Karsten Gethmann, Lina Marie Buss, and chef Judith Spögler will serve modern Mediterranean-Alpine cuisine with views of the Rhine and Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. "Quality, regional sourcing, hospitality, and a relaxed atmosphere are our top priorities," they say. The grand opening is set for May 22.

Also on the horizon is Café Beethoven at Markt 222 in Ehrenbreitstein, replacing the former "Café am Markt." The name nods to local history: just steps away lies the Mutter-Beethoven-Haus, the birthplace of Maria Magdalena Keverich, mother of the legendary composer. The café will offer breakfast, coffee, and evening drinks.

New Shops in the City Center

In May, the Puro Pasta Manufactory will launch at Entenpfuhl 32 in the Old Town. Its founder—a former head chef at an Italian Michelin-starred restaurant—aims to "create a place where craftsmanship and pleasure meet." Puro isn't a traditional eatery but a gourmet shop designed to "bring the taste of Italy home." The selection includes fresh pasta, sauces, antipasti, homemade tiramisu, and curated fine foods to craft "your own little Italian moment." "What sets Puro apart is its artisanal ethos—it's about mindful work and premium ingredients, not mass production," the team emphasizes. The Old Town location was chosen for its lively, spontaneous energy, perfect for a concept that invites discovery and enjoyment at home.

Starting in June, Studyo will open at Plan 3–5 in the heart of Koblenz. Founder Irma Noppe—a critical care and anesthesia nurse—will offer yoga and contemporary movement classes under the philosophy: "Quality comes from depth, not volume or noise." Classes are intentionally small (max seven participants) to foster "space for genuine awareness, personal guidance, and yoga that truly resonates with you." Occasionally, her dog Mala drops by to lift spirits.
