Kaneohe's New Aloha Acai Truck Serves Fresh Bowls with a Family Legacy
A new food truck named Aloha Acai has opened in Kaneohe, offering fresh acai bowls and smoothies. Sisters Uilani and Kehaulani Ho launched the business in September 2024, naming it after their grandmother. The truck is parked on Mehana Street, right beside Windward Mall. The menu includes three signature bowls, each priced at $15. The Aloha Acai Bowl combines acai sorbet with coconut, granola, pineapple, mango, banana and a daily garnish. Customers can add local raw honey, agave, or condensed milk for extra flavour. The Ohelo Papa Bowl features acai sorbet, strawberries, bananas, blueberries, granola and local raw honey. Meanwhile, the Pineki Bowl offers acai sorbet, banana, almonds, macadamia nuts, coconut, granola and honey.
For those wanting a drink, the Chika Smoothie is an acai-flavoured blend costing $10. The sisters also provide smaller keiki bowls for children. To ensure freshness, they clean all fruit using Kangen water before serving.
Aloha Acai brings a taste of Brazil and Hawaii to Kaneohe with its fresh, customisable bowls. The food truck’s location near Windward Mall makes it easily accessible for locals and shoppers. With a focus on quality ingredients, the sisters aim to keep their grandmother’s spirit alive through their business.
