Jollibee's Mega Commissary in Cebu Boosts Visayas-Mindanao Expansion Plans

Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC) has opened its largest commissary in the Visayas, located in Danao, northern Cebu. The facility was inaugurated by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), marking a key step in the company's expansion plans. Officials highlighted its role in boosting regional growth and employment.

The Danao commissary is JFC's 12th in the Philippines and the biggest in the Visayas. It currently employs 451 workers, with around 63% of them coming from Danao City. The site will support stores across the Visayas and Mindanao, thanks to higher automation and increased production capacity.

DTI Secretary Christina Roque led the inauguration, calling the commissary vital to the agency's push for investment outside Metro Manila. She stressed its importance in strengthening regional supply chains and driving local industrialisation. The DTI continues to promote regional manufacturing through innovation and global competitiveness programs.

JFC also announced plans to open 200 more stores in the Visayas and Mindanao over the next five years. The move reflects growing demand in these areas and sustained investor confidence in the region.

The new commissary will serve as a key hub for JFC's operations in the Visayas and Mindanao. It reinforces the company's commitment to regional growth while creating jobs and supporting local economies. The DTI's backing further highlights the project's alignment with national industrialisation goals.
