Halle's 'In Händel Veritas' wine festival closes with music and theatre today
The 'In Händel Veritas' wine festival in Halle (Saale) draws to a close today. Visitors can enjoy a final day of live music, theatre, and local food and drink at the city’s market square. Over twenty vendors, including wineries from Höhnstedt and Saal-Unstrut, are taking part in the event. Stalls open at 11 a.m. and remain until 7 p.m., offering a range of treats. Bratwurst is priced at €4.00, while a draft Radeberger (0.4L) costs €4.50. Live entertainment begins early, with the band Sason performing from 11:30 a.m.
At 1:30 p.m., Jonas Schütte presents his improvised theatre piece, *Soloklassiker – Best of Shakespeare*. Later, at 3:00 p.m., Julia Raab’s puppet show, *The Singing Contest of the Heather Hares*, takes the stage. Halle’s city carillonneur, Davit Drambyan, will then play a recital at 4:00 p.m. The afternoon continues with DJ Mira Vána’s 'Wine Beats' set, starting at 4:30 p.m. The festival wraps up after a full day of activities, marking the end of this year’s celebration.
Today’s programme blends music, theatre, and local flavours for the festival’s last day. With performances running from mid-morning until evening, visitors have one final chance to explore Halle’s wine and cultural offerings. The event closes after 7 p.m., concluding this year’s edition.
