When Can You Transition from Baby Food to Family Meals?
Questions like this—along with broader concerns about proper nutrition for infants and toddlers—often pose challenges for many parents. The online course "Eating at the Family Table," offered by Rastatt's Parent and Family Education program and supported by the state initiative Conscious Child Nutrition (BeKi), will provide answers. The session takes place on Wednesday, April 15, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM and covers all things food and nutrition for curious parents.
Nutrition consultant Regina Wemmert will explain what matters most in feeding infants and young children. She'll address common dilemmas—like what to do when vegetables are rejected in favor of fries or pizza—and whether certain foods should be avoided, especially in the early stages. The course will also tackle key questions such as "What does my child really need?" and "Is my child eating enough?" before opening the floor for individual concerns.
Participation is free of charge, but registration is required by Monday, April 13 at the latest.
