Empfertshausen's Easter Market Draws Crowds with Handmade Crafts and Live Demos

Empfertshausen hosted its annual Easter Market on Sunday, drawing crowds from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event showcased handmade crafts, live demonstrations, and local food, attracting up to 1,000 visitors throughout the day. Over 20 vendors and exhibitors from Hesse, Bavaria, and Thuringia displayed their work. Fine wood and metal art, ceramic pieces, and other handcrafted treasures were on offer. The market catered to craft enthusiasts, art lovers, and those simply looking for something unique.

Live demonstrations took centre stage, with carvers, woodturners, and potters showcasing their skills. The vocational school for wood sculptors also opened its doors, giving prospective students insights into the curriculum, workshop practices, and future career paths. Visitors enjoyed refreshments from the Rhön Woodcarvers' Association, including coffee and homemade cakes. Caterer Tino Schmidt served hearty meals, while the school band *Kellerkrach* performed live, adding to the festive atmosphere.

The Easter Market provided a platform for artisans to display their talents and for visitors to explore handmade goods. With live music, food, and craft demonstrations, the event offered a lively day out for all who attended.
