Emelina Brings Cuban Fine Dining to West Palm Beach's Booming Food Scene
West Palm Beach is fast becoming a dining destination, with a new high-end restaurant set to open its doors. Emelina, a Cuban-inspired fine dining venue, will launch on February 3, 2023. The project is a collaboration between The Grove Restaurant Group and the husband-and-wife team of Osmel González and Camila Salazar.
The restaurant is the brainchild of chef Osmel González, originally from Havana, and his partner Camila Salazar. Both bring extensive experience, having worked at top establishments like Spain's Disfrutar and Japan's Kikunoi. Before Emelina, they ran EntreNos, a Michelin-starred pop-up in Miami.
Emelina will focus on redefining Cuban cuisine with a fine dining approach. The menu will highlight seasonal ingredients sourced from local Florida producers. This commitment to regional suppliers also aims to reduce the restaurant's environmental impact.
The space will feature an intimate 12-seat chef's counter and two small tables for two. Diners can expect a single, ever-changing tasting menu that reflects the season's best offerings. Álvaro Perez Miranda, founder of The Grove Restaurant Group, praised González and Salazar for their dedication to Florida's producers and their professional integrity.
Emelina joins West Palm Beach's growing food scene with a clear vision. The restaurant will blend Cuban tradition with local Florida flavors in a refined setting. Its opening on February 3 marks the latest addition to the area's expanding culinary reputation.
