Douro Wine City Returns with Nine Days of Free Celebrations in Peso da Régua

The Douro Wine City event is back for its latest edition, running from June 5 to June 13, 2023. Hosted in Peso da Régua, the nine-day celebration will showcase the best of the Douro region—all free for visitors to enjoy. The festival kicks off on June 5 at 5:00 PM with an opening ceremony at the Peso da Régua Municipal Auditorium (AUDIR). Over the following days, attendees can explore wine tastings, educational talks, and live music performances.

Music and entertainment will fill the schedule, featuring acts like Projeto Adélia, Samba Jazzy, Liana Kerzhakov, and ÁTOA. For families, a dedicated Kids’ Space will provide activities tailored for children. Food lovers can watch live cooking demonstrations by top local chefs. Wine enthusiasts will have the chance to join Wine Talks led by Manuel Moreira, covering topics such as Port wine pairings, rosé varieties, and Douro whites. The event is organised by the Municipality of Peso da Régua and produced by Essência Company. It aims to highlight the region’s culture, gastronomy, and world-famous wines in one vibrant programme.
