Delfina Celebrates 10 Years of Elevated Portuguese Cuisine in Lisbon

Delfina – Cantina Portuguesa, part of the AlmaLusa Hotels group, has become a popular choice among diners seeking authentic yet elevated Portuguese cuisine in Lisbon's Baixa district. The restaurant, which opened in 2014, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Its inviting interior, featuring earthy tones and plush rose-velvet Chesterfield sofas, complements a menu that balances tradition and creativity.

One of Delfina's standout dishes is the Assado de Domingo, a slow-roasted ribeye veal platter designed for two. Priced at €44, it comes with a rich demi-glace, gratinated potatoes, Brussels sprouts, carrots, and shallots. The gratinated potatoes, in particular, have earned praise as a standout side.

For starters, the Roasted Tomato Cream Soup with a poached egg offers a lighter option at €7. Another hearty choice is the Pica-Pau do Lombo, featuring premium pork loin and crispy homemade fries for €16. Dessert includes a Chocolate Mousse made with 70% cacao and dehydrated orange zest, available for €6.

Delfina serves as the culinary face of AlmaLusa Hotels, which has expanded within Portugal over the past decade. The group now includes boutique properties like AlmaLusa Baixa Chiado in Lisbon and AlmaLusa Albufeira in the Algarve. To celebrate the hotel's 10th anniversary, a special package is available, combining a city tour with a full meal and wine pairing.

The restaurant's focus on quality ingredients and thoughtful presentation has solidified its reputation in Lisbon. With a menu that ranges from comforting starters to indulgent mains, Delfina remains a key destination for those exploring Portuguese flavours. Meanwhile, the AlmaLusa group continues to expand its presence across the country.
