Coop recalls parsley-containing foods over metal contamination fears

Coop has recalled several food products containing parsley due to possible metal contamination. The affected items were sold exclusively on January 28, 2026, and pose a potential health risk if consumed.

Customers are advised not to eat them and instead return them for a full refund.

The recall covers six specific products. These include Betty Bossi chopped parsley (20g), Freshly Made Protein Salad (325g), and Betty Bossi Protein Salad (325g). Also affected are pre-packaged Butterfly garlic shrimp, Garlic shrimp with tails, and Sunday roast.

All recalled items were available at Coop supermarkets, Coop to go, Coop City department stores, Coop Pronto convenience stores, and Jumbo outlets. No other retailers or dates are involved in the recall.

Coop has urged customers to check their purchases from January 28, 2026. Anyone who bought these products can take them back to the point of sale for a refund.

The recall aims to prevent any health risks linked to metal contamination. Customers with the affected items should return them immediately. Coop has not reported any incidents related to the recalled products so far.
