Burien's Taco Crawl crowns Centro Neighborhood Kitchen as 2024's top taco spot

Burien’s annual Taco Crawl has once again put the spotlight on the city’s vibrant restaurant scene. This year’s event featured 19 eateries, with Centro Neighborhood Kitchen taking the top prize among five winners. The Taco Crawl showcased a wide range of local flavours, from long-standing favourites to newer spots. Among the participants were Elliott Bay Brewing and Azteca Mexican Restaurant, both drawing crowds with their offerings. Tickets sold out quickly, reflecting the event’s growing popularity.

Five restaurants earned recognition from judges and attendees. Centro Neighborhood Kitchen claimed first place, followed by El Cabrito Mexican Restaurant in second. B Town Halo Grill secured third, while El Centenario Mexican Restaurant came fourth. Taqueria Cuautla rounded out the top five.

The event highlighted Burien’s diverse culinary talent, with 19 restaurants competing for the title. Winners like Centro Neighborhood Kitchen and Taqueria Cuautla now join a list of local favourites celebrated by the community. Organisers have already begun planning for next year’s crawl.
