Birco Unveils Cutting-Edge Drainage and Smart Water Management at InfraTech 2026

Birco will present its latest drainage and infrastructure solutions at InfraTech 2026. The company’s innovations include systems for flood protection, utility line installation, and smart water management. Visitors can explore these technologies in Hall 3, Stand 3B22, with a focus on their implementation in Norderstedt.

One of the key products on display is the BIRCOmax-i channel system. It combines drainage with temporary water storage, holding up to 512 litres per metre. This dual function helps prevent flooding by reducing pressure on sewer networks during heavy rainfall.

For utility installations, BIRCOcanal offers a practical solution. Municipalities and industries can use it to lay EV charging cables, fibre optics, or hydrogen pipelines efficiently. The system is designed to be low-maintenance and cost-effective over the long term. Heavy-duty areas benefit from BIRCOmassiv, a reinforced channel system. It features steel reinforcement, galvanised surface protection, and anti-slip properties. These elements ensure stability and durability, even under high traffic loads. Complementing these systems is Rainmesh, Birco’s digital rainwater management tool. It processes real-time sensor data, weather forecasts, and storage capacities to optimise water distribution. The system adjusts flows dynamically, improving efficiency in stormwater handling.

The technologies will be demonstrated at InfraTech 2026, with Norderstedt serving as a case study for their application. Birco’s solutions aim to enhance flood resilience, simplify infrastructure projects, and streamline water management. Attendees can see the systems firsthand at Hall 3, Stand 3B22.
