Binger Christmas Market 2025: Here's the Program

Bingen's Winter Wonderland: Markets, Music and Holiday Magic Unveiled

Bingen’s festive season kicks off this winter with a mix of markets, music, and seasonal activities. The Christmas market will run from December 10 to 23, offering food, drinks, and handmade gifts. Alongside the market, the city will host concerts, workshops, and guided tours to celebrate the holidays in style. The celebrations begin early, with stalls serving mulled wine and local food opening at the CityCenter on November 24. These will stay open daily until December 30. On November 29, the newly restored nativity scene at St. Martin’s Basilica will be unveiled, remaining on display for visitors until the end of December.

Music will play a big part in the festivities. The Oberes Mittelrheintal brass band performs on November 29, followed by a 'Sing & Play' concert and communal caroling. Two special 'Klangstrom' concerts are also planned: 'Vivaldi in Advent' on December 12 and 'Hex, Hex – Christmas Is Bewitched!' on December 13. Later in the month, the Hildegardisschule Advent concert takes place on December 15, with the Bingen Children’s Choir performing on December 20. The Bingen Adult Education Center will run seasonal workshops, including a lecture on Hans Christian Andersen, a baking class, and Advent Yoga with Piano. For families, festive guided tours led by 'Weihnachtsmaus Oma Emmi' will run on the first three Saturdays of Advent. A rotating charity booth will sell waffles, cookies, and other treats, with proceeds supporting local clubs and organisations. Market hours are set for Monday to Thursday, 4–8 p.m., and extended to 12–8 p.m. on Friday through Sunday.

The Christmas market and surrounding events will bring seasonal cheer to Bingen until December 30. Visitors can enjoy shopping, live music, and festive activities while supporting local causes. The restored nativity scene and guided tours add extra charm to this year’s celebrations.
