Bergzoo Halle Welcomes Spring with Easter Fun and New Playgrounds

Spring has arrived at Bergzoo Halle, bringing vibrant colours and new attractions for families. The zoo's annual Fantastic Easter World display is now open, featuring playful decorations and seasonal fun. Visitors can also explore a new pirate ship playground and enjoy extended opening hours. The zoo is open daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with last entry at 5:00 PM, until April 12, 2026. Standard admission fees apply during this period.

For children, the Easter Express train ride and the newly opened Humboldt's Little Rascals Point—a pirate ship playground—offer extra excitement. Meanwhile, the mountain terrace restaurant, beer garden, and Reilsalmhof farm picnic area provide dining options for visitors.

A major draw is the elephant enclosure, where Simon, the two-year-old bull elephant, remains a favourite. This is also one of the final opportunities to see the entire herd before their relocation to Berlin. Additionally, keeper-led feedings and Q&A sessions with animal care staff give guests a chance to learn more about the animals. The Fantastic Easter World display, new playground, and extended hours make this a busy time at Bergzoo Halle. Visitors can enjoy the spring scenery on Reilsberg Hill while catching a last glimpse of the elephant herd before their move. The zoo's seasonal offerings run until mid-April 2026.
